Description:
The Episcopal Church has been present in Summit County since the early years of the gold , mining era. St. John's began in 1885 and soon became a mission of our cathedral parish in , Denver. Acquired from the congregational church, the building was moved to this site in 1891 , and was dedicated in 1892 (we still use the first electric light fixtures ever installed in town). , St. John's became a parish 100 years later in 1992.
But we are not living in the past. St. John's is a lively, diverse parish family dedicated to , worshiping and proclaiming Jesus Christ and caring for all who cross our path. We hope that all , people come to know God's love for them and that they feel encouraged to share that love in the , world around them. Through worship, education, service, and pastoral care for one another, we , extend our ministry to the communities of Summit County-to residents and visitors alike.
