My middle son of three has an adventurous palate. When we were doing our yearly vacationing in Wildwood, New Jersey he and I drove from restaurant to restaurant looking for something different. We found a place with sushi and shashimi. I would have never tried it but since he was going to, I pretended as if it were a good idea. We had a great time with our family trying raw fish. I had a sense of awe when I watched him eat the tip of an octopus arm. From that day on we sought out any place that offered shashimi. We liked Mikimoto but it was more for the style than the substance. Our favorite place for sushi and shashimi has become the Bamboo House. We are amazed by the memory of the host and hostess. When any of our family walks in, we are greeted by name and our preferences are remembered. If we have a special event to celebrate, our first thought is, "Bamboo House." The service is always good and the food is beyond what any in the area can provide. Bamboo House is unbeatable. (Hide)
