This home is one of the most beautiful southern mansions we have ever stayed in. The architectural details are stunning and the antiques are beautiful. Our hosts were so gracious and warm, we felt like family. Breakfast was a true delight, thoughtfully prepared and elegantly presented. The innkeepers are busy all the time and it shows, it is immaculate and the gardens are beautiful. The inn is close to the battlefield and to the quaint downtown area. There are many sites to see in this historic town. We loved touring the town but we also loved coming "home" to relax on the porch swings that have fabulous views of the gardens and the river. The inn has a lovely gift shop filled with local artesian gifts as well as small antiques and a tasteful array of other merchandise. We loved the fact that we could stay in the main house and not in some cottage or other outbuilding. This B&B is a treasure and we are so glad we had the pleasure of staying there. We most certainly will return. (Hide)
