I had a problem with my clutch pedal alignment and went to Aamco because it was super close to my work. I was warned by another Aamco Rep. in Reno, NV too avoid this Aamco and go to the one in Ventura instead. He wouldn't give me specific on why though. But I live in Santa Barbara and cannot afford to take the time off work. Anyway I take it down to him and he says it will be acouple of hours. He later then calls me up telling me yadayada that it will take longer then expected & I have no choice but to approve his extra time. Otherwise I will be out the money & not have vehicle that worked. So apparently it takes half of the day & part of the next day to fix it. A total of 6.5 hours. So I get a bill for $1,000. I could have nearly bought a new transmission for that. I definitely could have bought a new clutch for that amount. I later showed the bill and my truck to our shop mechanic and he said this repair should have taken no longer than 2 hours. I got ripped, but it was too late! (Hide)
