Overview of Superpages Search
- Search Basics
- There are several ways to
search for US businesses.
- The Business Info Tab lets you find businesses
based on the name, the type of business, or the products and services
they sell.
- Enter a business name such as "John's Trucking" or just a type of business such as trucking or moving; Or enter keywords such as hair, frames or lawn mowers.
- Enter a city and state or ZIP in the where field. Leave it blank to search nationally.
- The results will provide a
list of all businesses that match your search.
- The Advanced
Search lets you customize your search.
- Search by any combination of
fields – including business name, keyword, location, distance.
- Use the radius to expand or narrow your search area.
- Or browse through the
categories to find those that match your needs.
- The Residential Tab lets you search the White Pages
- Find a person by his or her full or partial name.
- Use "Reverse Phone" to find out who owns a
phone number.
- Find out who lives
at a particular address using "Reverse Address".
- Get area and ZIP Codes.
- The Map
and Directions Tab takes you to map-based search.
- Get a map for any location such as an address or city.
- Search for businesses and see their locations displayed on the map.
- Get, print and email directions.
- Search for what's nearby a specific business.
- The Online Shopping Tab
lets you find products to purchase online.
- View results from eBay and shopping.com.

Finding a Business
- How do I search for a business – I know the name or part of the name?
- Find a business by entering either the whole name such as Jimmy's Steerhouse or just part of the name - Jimmy's.
- How do I search for a business when I don't have a particular one in mind?
- Enter the type of business and the location you want to search; Restaurants, Chicago Il; Hotels 02139.
- How do I find a business near the hotel where I am staying?
- Use Advanced Search: enter the type of business and the location you are interested in such as the address of the hotel; then set the radius and search.
- Use the Map Tab to locate the business; then click the name or icon to search nearby.
- How do I find more about a business – is it good; can I depend on it?
- Click a business name to get more information and reviews about this business.
- Look for the SuperGuarantee. If a business has the SuperGuarantee you have additional assurance. Click the SuperGuarantee icon to sign up.
- I have too many results; how do I get a more focused list?
- Narrow the results to an area by changing the radius from the filter at the top of the page.
- Switch to a more specific category using the category list on the left side.
- Try your search again using a more specific word. For example, if automobile matches too many categories, use a more specific word, such as radiator.
- Try using multiple words, such as automobile radiator.
- I have too few or no results; what should I do?
- Expand the radius.
- Select a different category on the left or try a different but associated term.
- Try searching for a specific business similar to the type of business you're looking for. Type the business name into the "What" field and see what category that business is listed under.

Rating a Business
- Click "Write a Review" to provide a rating and review for a business.
- Rate your business select 1-5 stars.
- Consider adding comments about different aspects of the business such as, atmosphere, responsiveness, value, etc.

Finding Residential/People Information
- How can I find someone's phone number?
- Use the "Residential" search and enter the last name.
- Enter a location to limit your search to a specific area or leave it blank to conduct a nationwide search.
- How can I find out who owns a phone number – reverse phone?
- Use Reverse Phone to find out who owns a specific phone number. Just enter the phone number.
- How can I find out who or what business is located at a particular address?
- Use Reverse Address to find out what businesses, or who, is listed at a particular address.
- And you can get area and ZIP code information as well.

Getting a Map and Directions
- How do I get a map?
- Click the Map and Directions tab at the top of the page. Then enter either just a location to get a map or a search term and location to find specific businesses on the map.
- Click "Map it" under a listing in the search results, "Ratings and Reviews" pages or "MySuperpages" to see the business on the map.
- Click "View Larger Map" on the search results page to see results plotted on the map.
- How do I get driving directions?
- From search results on the Map and Directions tab, click the business name or icon and select "to" or "from".
- Or type the location right into the Directions section.
- From the search results click "Map it".
- From the business profile click "Get Directions".
- How do I zoom in or out on the map?
- Use the slider bar to zoom in/out of the map.
- How do I print the map or directions?
- Click "Print" to print directions. You will be able to select different options allowing you to print the map, step-by-step directions and notes.
- How do I email directions?
- Click the "Email" link above the Directions to send directions to an email address.

Online Shopping
- How do I find products I want to purchase online?
- Click the Online Shopping tab and enter a type of product, a brand or a combination of the two.
- Filter the results by selecting the options provided.
- Sort by price, store rating or store name.
- How do I use the eBay results?
- SuperPages.com lets you search for millions of items being offered through eBay.
- When I use eBay through Superpages.com, am I purchasing from Superpages.com?
No. Superpages.com is not a store -- it is a shopping search engine that helps you find and compare products, prices and stores online and offline, new or used, fixed price or auction. Once Superpages.com has helped you find what you are looking for on eBay, click on a link to go directly from the Superpages.com site to the eBay site in order to bid on or buy the item.
- If I have a problem or question concerning the product I've bid on through eBay, will Superpages.com help me resolve it?
No. Since all bidding occurs at the eBay site, all questions and issues must be addressed through eBay at eBay Customer Service.
