(More) I purchased a house and before i moved i did a service availability request was told would take a day or two, called suddenlink back verified that i was good for service scheduled the service connection date the tech. that comes to my home and says i can not have service because i am 25 ft. too far. and that he was putting in a work order to get someone out there to put in the equipment to provide service. 2 weeks later i have still yet to hear from them. Called to check on the status they have no idea what's going on, and tell me to call the local suddenlink office which has no number to call. So switching to directv and AT&T. Will be letting everyone I know that moves to Leesville LA about how suddenlink's service is and suggest using directv and at&t for tv/internet. (Hide)

I went by the local office and asked if there was anything that I could do to get my bill lowered and was told that it is as low as possible unless I want to purchase a modem box for approx. $60.00 to save a $10.00 monthly rental charge. My monthly bill is now around $105.00 for the next to cheapest cable package/cheapest internet package available. Am I the only one who thinks that this is a complete rip off? I live in an apartment so cannot get a satellite dish so I feel helpless. I'm now shopping around for alternate services and seriously thinking that I might possibly just disconnect it all! BUT i have three neighbors with suddenlink tv or internet. two of which or NEXT DOOR. i am living next to one, and across the street from the other, and one behind me on the next street. after reading all these reviews, I AM THANKFUL that they did not give me service, for it looks like i would have been disappointed. I had installation set up for today between 12 & 5. After waiting until 6pm, I was told that my install was changed to Monday. No one notified me and Monday is a work day for me. I 've had Suddenlink cable for about 3 months and what a mistake. It's out all the time, sometimes for days. Then it takes a week to get a tech out. It's out all the time, sometimes for days. Then it takes a week to get a tech out. I was instructed that they would call right before they come, so I get in the shower but take the phone with me. Then at the end of the day I call to find out why the tech never came and they tell me the tech came around the time I was in the shower. But yet they didn't bother to call first, the rep. rescheduled again for the next day, sending a note to the tech to make sure they call first. So another day of waiting begins, finally when the tech did show up without a phone call again and always late he came to the door asked the problem which should have already been on the service order and said he new what the problem was then left and fixed. Really, I had to be home for 2 days for that? Then one week later it starts all over again. A person would have to quit their job and stay home full time without showers to keep their cable working (Hide)

High speed cable connection during busy times will not even stream video from the web without pausing repeatedly to load. I think they have too many customers on one system from comments repair people have made. We would have switched to ATT long ago but they could not answer install questions we had. (Hide)
