The Franks StoryIn 1911, the area of New Brunswick, NJ was a bustling neighborhood of working class families and businesses. That year, a Russian immigrant, Frank Marowitz, arrived in town and decided to open a tailor shop and a second hand clothing store. At the time, the shop was known as F. Marowitz Tailoring (becoming Franks Big & Tall when Franks three sons opened their Big & Tall store years later).In 1911, there were no stores that catered to the needs of the Big & Tall men and word of Franks tailoring skills quickly spread throughout the community. Larger men from throughout the area would arrive at Franks shop eager to get their bigger needs addressed.The tailor shop continued through the 1940s. After returning from WWII, Franks two sons, Hy & Alex, opened up Franks Army Supply along with their brother Marty. In 1961, continuing the tradition established by their father Frank, the brothers decided to focus on the clothing needs of the big and tall men and they opened the first Franks Big & Tall.Today, Franks third generation continues to satisfy its clients with top level customer service and a broad selection of name brand quality clothing. The original store has since moved to Route 18 in East Brunswick with other locations in Morristown, Toms River and our 11,000 square foot anchor store in Ocean Township, NJ.A very experienced and knowledgeable sales staff is key to that customer service and satisfaction.
