We called them to come to fix our thermostat. For such a simple job of replacing the bad thermostat, the guy spent 45 min! Of course, the longer the more charge. Finally he charged $125 for the labor and $135 for a thermostat that usually costs only half of that at stores. So, total $260 for a simple thermostat replacement! Unreasonable price! (Hide)

(More) This firm was contracted to replace the entire HVAC system and install an additional duct in my 24 year old house. From the senior HVAC associate who provided the estimate to the team which performed the job, Academy Heating & Air Conditioning (AHAC) has a very satisfied client!! I would highly recommend them to anyone who asked. They were in my home 1 day and began promptly ¿ 1 team delivered the new outdoor unit, another team began the installing the new duct, and the primary install team began breaking down the old system. The new system and duct installation was completed in 7.5 hours (and that included their lunch break ¿ they are human). I do not know if AHAC was the least expensive or if they were the most expensive, their competition never showed up for an estimate or if they did show up gave me the impression I was just another money maker. For the quality of labor and professionalism AHAC displayed and the respect they had for my home, I would contract them again. (Hide)
