Duneland Lutheran High School was created by the Lutheran High School Association of Northwest Indiana, Inc. The Lutheran High School Association of Northwest Indiana was formed with the purpose of forming a regional Lutheran High school. After six years of planning, Duneland Lutheran High School opened in the fall of 2000 with twelve freshmen and sophomore students. By the third year our enrollment rose to twenty freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Duneland Lutheran High School is very excited to have our first graduating class in the spring of 2003. One hundred percent of our graduating seniors have been accepted to a college or university. Our anticipated enrollment for the 2003-2004 school year is 30 students. There are nine Lutheran churches in the Association at the present time. Duneland Lutheran High School is supported by individual donors, tuition, and the association churches. Duneland Lutheran High School Mission Statement: To provide students with the tools to integrate faith and learning for lifetime service to Christ. Duneland Lutheran High School Objectives: Equip students for effective discipleship. Challenge students to achieve academic success. Develop social, moral, and civic responsibility in students. Duneland Lutheran High School will achieve these objectives by providing Christ-centered quality education in a Lutheran setting. Duneland Lutheran High School Faculty The principal and faculty work very closely with each student to meet their educational needs. Our average number of students per classroom is five. Our student to staff ratio is 5:1. Duneland Lutheranbs faculty and staff take pride in maintaining a high standard of academic excellence and providing an enriching educational experience for each student.
