Those posts are obviously from disgruntled customers who had a bad experience or competitors posing as disgruntled customers. The reason I say this, is because the dollar amounts posted are completely fictitious. I have been a customer of theirs for over twenty years and they do what they say. I feel secure with the third largest propane supplier in the U.S. and they have ALWAYS done right by me. My neighbor, on the other hand, has nothing but nightmare type stories about the smaller Georgia owned companies hiding behind names like Leon Propane or Plantation Propane. They are VERY unstable and unreliable. On one occasion, my neighbor had a very bad leak that had been missed for about six months. I told her to call Suburban, that their techs are well trained and knowledgeable, and sure enough they found a dangerous leak that not only was wasteful, but a leak that could have killed her! Thank you Suburban, y'all are wonderful (Hide)

Late one evening she thought she had run out of propane and called me in a panic. I immediately called Suburban and was surprised to hear a real representative answer the phone. They dispatched a technician and confirmed it was a simple fix that had nothing to do with the propane supply. I am grateful for the peace of mind Suburban Propane provides my mother. You get what you pay for. They are worth every penny. (Hide)

(More) This company allowed our fuel to run out and then blamed me the customer for using too much propane to heat our hot water. This is such a joke. During the time we were supposedly using too much propane, we were on vacation for a week and the water heater was turned to the "vacation" low setting. We ran out of propane a few weeks later and they threatened to charge us for the delivery which wasn't part of their normal schedule. What audacity! Suburban Propane is also charging us $240 a year for the privilege of using their tank. I wonder why FPL doesn't assess us for a wire fee to deliver our electricity? I'm currently searching for an alternative fuel carrier. (Hide)
