Dermatologic Surgery Surgical removal of lesions, both benign and malignant as well as cosmetic procedures including facial peels. Adult and Pediatric Dermatology Patients have been treated by us from birth to 102-years old! Phototherapy for light sensitive dermatoses Delaware Dermatology, P.A. was the first to offer PUVA and NB-UVA treatments in Kent and Sussex counties. Phototherapy units are designed for treatment of light sensitive skin disorders including Psoriasis, Mycosis Fungoides, Pruritus (itching) and others. Delaware Dermatology, P.A. can provide Narrow-band UVB (Ultraviolet-B) treatments as well as UVA (Ultraviolet-A) treatments to our patients who skin disorders which may benefit from light treatments. Our UVB phototherapy unit is Narrow Band which means it gives ONLY the spectrum of ultraviolet light needed to treat your condition, not the full ultraviolet spectrum. This reduces side effects of ultraviolet exposure, thereby lessening the risk of premature aging of the skin, precancerous lesions and skin cancers - all of which are increased when exposed to wider spectrum ultraviolet light (i.e. tanning beds). Note: Medical phototherapy units have specially designed light bulbs and are NOT the same as tanning beds the use of which may result in more damage to the skin. Cosmetic Dermatologic Procedures Delaware Dermatology, P.A. is the only office in Kent or Sussex county to offer treatment with Fraxel laser which is FDA approved for the treatment of Age spots / Sun Spots, Skin Roughness / Texture, Wrinkles, Acne scars, Scarring, Melasma and disorders of hyperpigmentation. Dr. Andrews is certified for use of this laser. Our office also offers injections with Botox, Restylane, Perlane.
